Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to flexibly manage out-of-stock commodities in accordance with a change in shelving allocation. Each of sensor units (101-1 through 101-N) is configured from at least one pressure sensor, and outputs an analog signal that corresponds to the weight of commodities detected by the at least one pressure sensor. A sensor output unit (103) converts the analog signal output from each of the multiple sensor units into a digital signal that indicates whether or not the quantity of the commodities placed in an area where each sensor unit is installed is equal to or less than a predetermined quantity. A combination setting unit (104) sets up one or more groups into which the multiple sensor units are grouped. An output integration unit (105) integrates the digital signals for each of the groups. An out-of-stock commodity management unit (106) manages an out-of-stock state of the commodities in each of the groups on the basis of the integrated digital signal.
