Abstract:
An outdoor machine (1) of an air conditioner has: a heat exchanger (5) that exchanges heat between a cooling medium and outside air; a compressor (7) that compresses the cooling medium; an outdoor machine control unit (12) that controls the compressor (7); a housing (13) that is partitioned into a heat exchanging chamber (2) for housing the heat exchanger (5), and a machine chamber (3) for housing the compressor (7) and the outdoor machine control unit (12); a soundproof cover (11), which is disposed around the compressor (7), and which cuts the noise generated by the compressor (7); and a lead wire (8), which has a structure wherein cables (8a, 8b, 8c) penetrate the inside of a protection tube (8d), and which connects the compressor (7) and the outdoor machine control unit (12) to each other. A cutout (11a) for passing the lead wire (8) is formed in the soundproof cover (11), a round hole (11b) for holding the lead wire (8) is formed at the leading end of the cutout (11a), and the diameter of the round hole (11b) is smaller than that of the protection tube (8d).
