Abstract:
An outdoor unit for an air conditioner comprises a fan (11), a vertical axis wind turbine (12), and a connection member (13). A motor (6) is connected to the fan (11). The connection member (13) is used for connecting a rotation shaft (17) of the vertical axis wind turbine (12) and the fan (11) or a motor shaft (61) of the motor (6). When the rotation speed of the rotation shaft (17) is greater than or equal to the rotation speed of the fan (11) or the motor shaft (61), the rotation shaft (17) can drive, by means of the connection member (13), the fan (11) or the motor shaft (61) to rotate. When the rotation speed of the rotation shaft (17) is smaller than the rotation speed of the fan (11) or the motor shaft (61), the connection member (13) allows the rotation shaft (17) and the fan (11) or the motor shaft (61) to rotate at their own rotation speeds.
