Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: an outdoor unit of an air conditioner which prevents the buildup of dew condensation water in a lower portion of a heat exchanger and prevents the reduction in the flow rate of air passing through the heat exchanger; and a method for manufacturing the outdoor unit of the air conditioner. The outdoor unit of the air conditioner is equipped with: a housing 11 which has a bottom plate 52, and frames 25a, 25b, 26a, 26b at the top end thereof; a heat exchanger 51 which is disposed within the housing 11, and has a plurality of fins 93 that are arranged in parallel with a space between one another and heat transfer pipes 90 that are arranged in the height direction with a space between one another and pass through the plurality of fins 93; and supporting members 65 which each have a first support portion 100 that is engaged with the frames 25a, 25b, 26a, 26b, a fourth support piece 104 that extends vertically from one end of the first support portion 100, and engagement pieces 111 that stand erect on the fourth support piece 104 and hold the heat transfer pipes 90. The supporting members 65 support the heat exchanger 51 so as to provide a space between the heat exchanger 51 and the bottom plate 52.
