Abstract:
This outdoor unit comprises a heat exchanger and an electric motor having a coil, and has: a blower that blows air onto the heat exchanger; a wire connection switching unit that switches the wire connection state of the coil between a first wire connection state and a second wire connection state in which the line voltage is lower than the first wire connection state; and a temperature sensor that detects temperature. When the electric motor is stopped, the wire connection switching unit sets the wire connection state of the coil to the second wire connection state. When the electric motor is rotating: if the temperature detected by the temperature sensor is equal to or higher than a threshold value, the wire connection switching unit sets the wire connection state of the coil to the first wire connection state; and if the temperature detected is lower than the threshold value, the wire connection switching unit sets the wire connection state of the coil to the second wire connection state.
