In the present disclosures, cooling of an electrical component by means of coolant flowing through a coolant duct is performed more efficiently when utilizing coolant cooling technology. An outdoor unit (11), which is for an air conditioner (10) having a coolant duct (18) wherein coolant circulates, is provided with: compressors (23A, 23B) that compress the coolant circulating through the coolant duct (18); power boards (35A, 35B) for driving and controlling the compressors (23A, 23B); coolant jackets (37A, 37B) that are each provided to a power board (35A, 35B) and that cool the power modules of said power boards (35A, 35B) by means of the coolant of the coolant duct (18); and flow-dividing tubes (21a, 21b) and an electric valve (50) that adjust the volume of coolant supplied to each coolant jacket (37A, 37B) corresponding to the power board (35A, 35B) of each compressor (23A, 23B) in response to the operation or performance of the compressors (23A, 23B).
