Disclosed is an outdoor unit of an air-conditioner, comprising an outdoor unit shell, an L-shaped heat exchanger (4), a fan, a middle partition plate (6), a compressor (12) and a space for a variable-frequency electric control box (7). The angle between a central axis (3) of a rotary shaft of a fan motor (2) and a centre line (5) of a long straight plate segment of the L-shaped heat exchanger (4) is smaller than or equal to 85 degrees, allowing for a high heat exchange efficiency. An air inlet of an induced air channel (13) is provided at an air outlet of the fan, and the induced air channel (13) penetrates the middle partition plate (6) and is in communication with the compressor (12) and the space for the variable-frequency electric control box (7). In a projection plane where the plane is formed by the air outlet of the fan, a projection of the plane formed by the air inlet of the induced air channel (13) and a projection of the plane formed by the fan air outlet that are projected onto said projection plane overlap. An air outflow from the fan enters the compressor (12) and the space for the variable-frequency electric control box (7) through the induced air channel (13), then flows through the compressor (13) and the variable-frequency electric control box (7), and is discharged out through an air outlet (10) on the outdoor unit shell. Thus, it is possible to cool the variable-frequency electric control box (7) and the compressor (13) without increasing the energy consumption.
