Abstract:
This outdoor unit for an air conditioner is provided with: a housing which forms an outer shell; a terminal base disposed within the housing and exposed to the outside through an opening formed in the housing; a connection valve disposed within the housing and exposed to the outside through the opening formed in the housing; and a protection cover mounted to the outer surface of the housing and collectively covering both the terminal base and the connection valve, which are exposed to the outside. The protection cover has a first cover section for covering the terminal base; a second cover section for covering the connection valve; and a hinge joint section for rotatably connecting the second cover section to the first cover section mounted to the outer surface of the housing, the second cover section having been removed from the outer surface of the housing.
