Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an outdoor unit for an air conditioner, the outdoor unit being configured to enable a control box can be easily installed at a predetermined position and to be easily removed from the predetermined position. This outdoor unit (2) is provided with: an upper housing having a space (10) formed therein; a bottom plate (4) which defines the bottom of the space (10); a control box (6) disposed within the space (10); a rail (15) affixed to the upper surface (4a) of the bottom plate (4); a guide (16) affixed to the lower surface of the control box (6); and a flange (5) rising from an end of the bottom plate (4) at a position separated from the rail (15). Cutouts (25R, 25L) are formed in the upper edge of the flange (5). The guide (16) can be engaged with the rail (15) and the cutouts (25R, 25L) so as to be capable of reciprocating in the front-rear direction while being prevented from moving in a direction intersecting the front-rear direction.
