Abstract:

An outdoor unit for an air conditioner, said outdoor unit comprising an outer casing in the interior of which is formed a machine chamber in which a compressor is arranged. The outer casing comprises a removable machine chamber front panel arranged on the front surface of the machine chamber, and a top panel covering the top surface. The front surface of the top panel is provided with a top-panel-side screw hole into which a screw is inserted, and a curling section the lower end of which has a shape that curls toward the inside. An insertion section, the upper part of which is recessed toward the back-surface side, is formed on the front surface of the machine chamber front panel, and the insertion section is provided with a front-panel-side screw hole into which a screw is inserted, and a convex protrusion protruding toward the front-surface side. When the insertion section is inserted inside the front surface of the top panel and the position of the top-panel-side screw hole and the position of the front-panel-side screw hole are aligned, the protrusion catches on the curling section.
