Abstract:
This outdoor unit for an air conditioner has a compressor, an upper surface cover which covers the upper surface of the compressor, and a side cover which covers both a side surface of the compressor and a side surface of the upper surface cover, and which has a rectangular cutout formed in a part of the upper end of the side cover. The outdoor unit has a non-water absorbent water discharge member which is provided extending from the center of the upper surface cover to the bottom of the cutout, and which is sloped downward from the center of the upper surface cover toward the bottom of the cutout.
