Abstract:
This outdoor unit for an air conditioner comprises: a case in which an inlet for air to flow is formed; a fan that is disposed inside the case and that forms a flow of air to pass through the inlet; a heat exchanger that has a plurality of fins disposed so as to be spaced apart and that is disposed between the case and the fan so as to be exposed from the inlet; and a partition plate that is provided inside the case and that separates the space inside the case into a fan chamber to accommodate the heat exchanger and the fan and a machine chamber to accommodate a compressor. The plurality of fins have end fin portions located on the end opposite to the partition plate, and at least one airflow hole is formed in a side wall constituting the case along the side edge forming the inlet in a location facing the end fin portions.
