Abstract:
This outdoor unit of an air conditioner comprises a compressor which compresses a refrigerant, and a soundproof material which is provided to the outside of the compressor and suppresses sound produced by the compressor, wherein the soundproof material has: a sound absorbing material which is wound in a state where the winding start and the winding end abut each other at a side surface of the compressor or a state where the same overlap each other, and which attenuates sound produced by the compressor; a sound insulating material which is wound such that the winding end of the sound insulating material is longer than the winding end of the sound absorbing material in a state where the winding start and the winding end overlap each other on the outside of the sound absorbing material, and which insulates sound absorbed by the sound absorbing material; and a hook-and-loop fastener which is provided from upper ends to lower ends of sound insulating materials at the winding end positions of the sound insulating materials, and which detachably fixes the sound insulating materials together.
