Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to suppress noise caused by suctioned air in an outdoor unit in which air blowers are installed at two locations. The present invention is provided with: a casing; a bottom plate forming the lower surface of the casing; a top plate forming the upper surface of the casing; a lateral surface wall that is disposed between the top plate and the bottom plate and that partitions the inner space of the casing; a heat exchanger that is disposed on a suction port side in the casing; and air blowers that are disposed on a blowout port side in the casing. In the casing, an air passage extending from the heat exchanger to the air blowers is formed. The air blowers include a first air blower disposed in the upper portion of the casing, and a second air blower disposed in the lower portion of the casing. The air passage is surrounded by the bottom plate, the top plate, and the lateral surface wall positioned on a lateral side of the air blowers. When the cross-sectional areas, in cross sections in parallel to the bottom plate, of the air passage from the center axes of the air blowers to the lateral surface wall are defined as a cross-sectional area A in a first cross section that is positioned between the center axis of the first air blower and the top plate and that is parallel to the bottom plate, a cross-sectional area B in a second cross section that is positioned between the center axis of the second air blower and the bottom plate and that is in parallel to the bottom plate, and a cross-sectional area C in a third cross section that is positioned between the first cross section and the second cross section and that is in parallel to the bottom plate, a relation of cross-sectional area B < cross-sectional area A < cross-sectional area C is satisfied.
