Abstract:
Provided is an outdoor unit (101) for a refrigeration device having a refrigeration mode and a defrosting mode, the outdoor unit (101) comprising: a first refrigeration cycle device (103) that circulates a first refrigerant between the outdoor unit (101) and an indoor unit (102); a second refrigeration cycle device (104) that circulates a second refrigerant; and a cascade heat exchanger (11) that exchanges heat between the first refrigerant and the second refrigerant. The first refrigeration cycle device (103) has a first compressor (1), a second heat exchanger (2), and a four-way valve (7) that switches a flow channel direction of the first refrigerant between the refrigeration mode and the defrosting mode. The second refrigeration cycle device (104) comprises a second compressor (9), a third expansion valve (5), and a third heat exchanger (6). The second heat exchanger (2) is arranged and configured so as to absorb waste heat from the third heat exchanger (6).
