Abstract:
Disclosed are an outer drum assembly and a washing machine. The outer drum assembly comprises an outer drum (1), wherein a first end face of the outer drum is configured to have an electric motor mounting cavity (11); a driving electric motor (2) is mounted in the electric motor mounting cavity; and a vacuum generation device (3) is further provided, with an air suction pipe of the vacuum generation device being connected to the electric motor mounting cavity in a penetrating manner, such that when the vacuum generation device is in operation, the vacuum generation device can vacuumize the electric motor mounting cavity to reach a preset degree of vacuum. The outer drum assembly and the washing machine can ensure the degree of vacuum in the electric motor mounting cavity, so as to ensure the insulation effect of the electric motor mounting cavity on the operation noise of the driving electric motor to improve the comfort of use of the washing machine for the user.
