Abstract:
This outer rotor electric motor is provided with a stator (11) to which a shaft is fixed and a rotor rotating on the outer circumferential side of the stator (11). The stator (11) is provided with: a stator core (4) in which an outer circumferential side slot (4a) and an inner circumferential side slot (4b) are disposed staggered in the radial direction and a slit portion leading to the inner circumferential side slot (4b) is provided from the outer edge portion; a main winding (1) disposed in the outer circumferential side slot (4a) and an auxiliary winding (2) disposed in the inner circumferential side slot (4b); and an insulator (3) for insulating the main winding (1), the auxiliary winding (2), and the stator core (4) from each other. The insulator (3) has: a flat portion (3a) covering an end of the stator core (4) in the axial direction of the shaft; and a rib (5) projecting from the flat portion (3a) toward the opposite direction to the stator core (4) and extending along at least a part of the slit portion from the outer edge portion. The main winding (1) is wound around the stator core (4) from above the rib (5).
