Air conditioners (D_1 to D_6) are installed in the ceiling (HV1) of a room (RM1) and generate output toward the room (RM1). A plurality of sub-areas corresponding to each of the air conditioners (D_1 to D_6) are allocated in the room (RM1). A CPU detects one or two or more representative points corresponding to one or two or more people in the room (RM1), measures the distance from each of the one or two or more detected representative points to the boundary of a sub-area, and controls the output operations of the air conditioners (D_1 to D_6) in accordance with the measurement results.
