Abstract:
This image forming device (1) comprises: a USB connector (7) connected to a terminal device (40) via a cable; a FIFO (24); and a control unit (10) functioning as a control unit (100) that alternatively executes either a normal mode or a power saving mode. When running in the power saving mode and receiving data transmitted from the terminal device (40) via the cable, the control unit (100) temporarily stores data in the FIFO (24) to temporarily wait for the execution of processing according to the data, checks the data stored in the FIFO (24) at predetermined time intervals in seconds, and executes processing based on the data.
