Abstract:
A problem to be solved is that a security management is appropriately carried out
even in the case where a few types of output devices with different security levels
are used in an output device system. In order to solve the problem, in an output
management system comprised of a few types of output devices (for example, printers
(12)-(15)), a data processing device (11), which generates printing data and
transmits the data to the printer, compares a data security level as attribute data
set at, and added to, the printing data with a device security level set at the printer.
A judging unit (28) is provided to permit printing only in the case where the device
security level is higher than the data security level. When a printer with the
security level lower than that of the printing data is designated, the printer
is not given a permission to print, so that the printing security management can
be carried out even in the case where a few types of printers with different security
levels are used in the same system.
