Abstract:
The present invention relates to an oven (1) comprising a body (2), a cooking chamber (3) disposed in the body (2), wherein foods to be cooked are placed, a heater (4) which provides the air in the cooking chamber (3) to be heated, a fan (5) which moves the air heated by the heater (4), a panel (6) situated on the body (2), a selection means (7) disposed on the panel (6), which provides the selection of the food type to be cooked, a silent mode button (8) disposed on the panel (6), a control unit (9) in the memory of which speed (N) values predetermined by the producer, at which the fan (5) is operated during the cooking of each food type.

Claims

1. An oven (1 ) comprising

- a body (2),

- a cooking chamber (3) disposed in the body (2), wherein foods to be cooked are placed,

- a heater (4) providing the air in the cooking chamber (3) to be heated,

- a fan (5) moving the air heated by the heater (4),

- a panel (6) situated on the body (2),

- a selection means (7) situated on the panel (6), providing the selection of the food type to be cooked,

- a silent mode button (8) situated on the panel (6)

- a control unit (9) in the memory of which speed (N) values predetermined by the producer, at which the fan (5) is operated during the cooking of each food type are stored,

characterized by the control unit (9)

- in the memory of which speed (Nsilent) values predetermined by the producer, at which the fan (5) is operated during the silent cooking of each food type are stored,

- which provides the fan (5) to operate at the speed (Nsilent) corresponding to the food type selected at which the fan (5) is operated during silent cooking instead of the speed (N) at which the fan (5) is operated during the cooking of the food type selected when the selection means (7) and the silent mode button (8) are triggered together at the beginning of the cooking.

2. An oven (1 ) as in Claim 1 , characterized by the control unit (9) wherein the speed (Nsilent) values stored in the memory thereof, at which the fan (5) is operated during the silent cooking corresponding to the food type selected are smaller than the speed (N) values at which the fan (5) is operated during the cooking of the food type selected.

Description

AN OVEN

[0001] The present invention relates to an oven which is provided to realize

cooking process silently.

[0002] In ovens, a fan which moves the air heated by the heater and which

provides the heat to be distributed homogeneously into the oven, is disposed. The fan motor emits noise to the environment while operating. This noise can be disturbing from time to time. The level of the noise is proportional with the operation speed of the fan.

[0003] Moreover, there is also a direct relation between the cooking quality and the fan speed. In the state of the art, ovens are known which can perform cooking at different fan speeds for different food types.

[0004] In the state of the art United States Patent Document No. US5973304, a microwave oven is described which has a silent cooking feature.

[0005] The aim of the present invention is the realization of an oven which is

provided to cook silently according to the type of the food selected.

[0006] The oven realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention,

explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a control unit in the memory of which speed values predetermined by the producer, at which the fan is operated during the cooking of each food type and speed values predetermined by the producer, at which the fan is operated during the silent cooking of each food type are stored. The control unit provides the fan to operate at the silent cooking speed corresponding to the food type selected, when triggered by the selection means and the silent mode button at the beginning of the cooking process.

[0007] Fan speed values of silent cooking corresponding to the food type

selected, stored in the memory of the control unit are smaller than the fan speed values corresponding to the food type selected. By the selection means and the silent mode button being triggered together at the beginning of the cooking process, the control unit provides the oven to emit less noise by operating the fan at fan speed of silent cooking corresponding to the food type selected.

[0008] Thus, by the oven being provided to realize the cooking process more silently, user satisfaction is increased.

[0009] By means of the present invention, the user is provided with the

opportunity to realize the cooking process such that less noise is emitted to the environment without adversely affecting the cooking quality according to the food type selected by the user.

[0014] The oven (1 ) comprises a body (2), a cooking chamber (3) disposed in the body (2), wherein foods to be cooked are placed, a heater (4) which provides the air in the cooking chamber (3) to be heated, a fan (5) which moves the air heated by the heater (4), a panel (6) situated on the body (2), a selection means (7) disposed on the panel (6), which provides the selection of the food type to be cooked, a silent mode button (8) disposed on the panel (6).

[0015] The oven (1 ) of the present invention, furthermore comprises a control unit (9) in the memory of which speed (N) values predetermined by the producer, at which the fan (5) is operated during the cooking of each food type and speed (Nsilent) values predetermined by the producer, at which the fan (5) is operated during the silent cooking of each food type are stored, and when the selection means (7) and the silent mode button (8) are triggered together at the beginning of the cooking, which provides the fan (5) to operate at the speed (Nsilent) corresponding to the food type selected at which the fan (5) is operated during silent cooking instead of the speed (N) at which the fan (5) is operated during the cooking of the food type selected.

[0016] The speed (Nsilent) values at which the fan (5) is operated during the

silent cooking corresponding to the food type selected are determined by the experimental studies performed by the producer. The speed (Nsilent) values determined separately for each food type and at which the fan (5) is operated during the silent cooking corresponding to the food type selected are the fan (5) speed values at which the oven (1 ) emits noise that does not disturb the user without adversely affecting the cooking quality. The speed (Nsilent) values stored in the memory of the control unit (9) and at which the fan (5) is operated during the silent cooking corresponding to the food type selected are smaller than the speed (N) values at which the fan (5) is operated during the cooking of the food type selected. For example, if the oven (1 ) emits 39 dBA of noise to the environment while meat is cooked when the fan (5) speed is 1200 rpm, then when meat is cooked by reducing the fan (5) speed to 1000 rpm, the oven (1 ) emits 37.5 dBA of noise to the environment. Thus, when the user triggered the silent mode button (8) after defining the food type to be cooked by means of the selection means (7), the control unit (9) provides less noise to be emitted to the environment by providing the fan (5) to operate at the speed

(Nsilent) during the silent cooking corresponding to the food type selected. Thus, customer satisfaction is increased.

[0017] When the fan (5) operates at the speed (Nsilent) during the silent cooking corresponding to the food type selected, the cooking time is longer than the fan (5) being operated at the speed (N) during the cooking of the food type selected.

[0018] By means of the present invention, less noise is provided to be emitted to the environment without adversely affecting the cooking quality of the food type selected by providing the fan (5) to operate at the speed (Nsilent) during the silent cooking corresponding to the food type selected.

[0019] It is to be understood that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments disclosed above and a person skilled in the art can easily introduce different embodiments. These should be considered within the scope of the protection postulated by the claims of the present invention.
