Abstract:
An overcurrent detection circuit and method suitable for alternating currents. The circuit comprises: a digital conversion unit (100), which is configured to convert a collected alternating-current analog signal into a digital signal; and an overcurrent detection unit (600), which is configured to perform computation on an input digital signal and determine whether to generate overcurrent protection for a device or a chip. Comparing with the existing simple analog circuit and the existing simple separate-device circuit, the overcurrent detection circuit reduces the use of a separate device, such that the stability of a system is improved and a chip or a device is enabled to stably detect overcurrent; moreover, a digital circuit is used as the overcurrent detection circuit, and is easily integrated and designed, has a good stability, and is programmable.
