Abstract:
An overcurrent detection circuit (10, 11, 12) for a power transistor (Mp) contains a reference transistor (Mrl), the control electrode of which is coupled to the control electrode of the power transistor. The voltages at a first terminal of each transistor are compared to provide an overcurrent detection signal. The current passing through the reference transistor can be reduced by additional reference transistors (Mr2, Mr3) connected in series with the original reference transistor (Mrl).
