An overcurrent protection circuit (10) is provided with: a fourth terminal (Q2, G) into which a prescribed threshold voltage is input; a sixth terminal (Q2, S) which is connected to a first terminal (Q1, G) of a switching device (Q1); a first switch element (Q2) having a fifth terminal (Q2, D); a seventh terminal (Q3, G) which is connected to the fifth terminal (Q2, D) of the first switch element (Q2); an eighth terminal (Q3, D) which is connected to the fourth terminal (Q2, G); and a second switch element (Q3) having a ninth terminal (Q3, S). The first switch element (Q2) detects, on the basis of a prescribed threshold voltage input into the fourth terminal (Q2, G), that the voltage value between a third terminal (Q1, S) and the first terminal (Q1, G) of the switching device (Q1) has exceeded a prescribed threshold value and establishes continuity between the sixth terminal (Q2, S) and the fifth terminal (Q2, D); and, when continuity exists between the fifth terminal (Q2, D) and the sixth terminal (Q2, S) of the first switch element (Q2), the second switch element (Q3) establishes continuity between the eighth terminal (Q3, D) and the ninth terminal (Q3, S) to thereby lower the prescribed threshold voltage input into the fourth terminal (Q2, G) of the first switch element (Q2).
