Abstract:
This overcurrent protection circuit, for example, restricts a current to be monitored to a restricted current value IOCP or below, wherein the circuit operates so as to impart a flat temperature characteristic to the restricted current value IOCP when a temperature Tj is lower than a threshold value Tx, and so as to impart a negative temperature characteristic to the restricted current value IOCP when the temperature Tj is higher than the threshold value Tx. In addition, the overcurrent protection circuit, for example, may operate so as to cause the restricted current value IOCP be a first restricted current value IOCP1 that has a flat temperature characteristic when the temperature Tj is lower than the threshold value Tx, and so as to cause the restricted current value IOCP be a second restricted current value IOCP2 that has a flat temperature characteristic and is lower than the first restricted current value IOCP1 when the temperature Tj is higher than the threshold value Tx.
