An overflowing type heat exchange device for city sewage source heat pump system includes a first medium flow path connecting cavity (3), a second medium flow path connecting cavity (13) and multiple third medium flow path connecting cavities (14). Two-four medium flow paths (1) located on the upper end of a pipe shell assembly are connected in parallel by the first medium flow path connecting cavity (3) adjacent to a medium outlet (10), so as to form a first medium flow path group. Two-four medium flow paths (1) located on the lower end of the pipe shell assembly are connected in parallel by the second medium flow path connecting cavity (13) adjacent to a medium inlet (9), so as to form a second medium flow path group. Multiple third medium flow path connecting cavities (14) connect the second medium flow path group, the first medium flow path group and other medium flow paths (1) in series. The overflowing type heat exchange device is suitable for the city sewage source heat pump system, and solves the problems of complex technological process and large occupied area, which are caused by blockage prevention in prior heat exchange technique.
