Abstract:
An overshoot protection circuit and method and a chip. The overshoot protection circuit comprises: a linear voltage regulator (101), a reference source circuit (102), a switch controller (103), a comparison circuit (104) and a rough reference voltage generation circuit (105). When being triggered by the comparison circuit (104), the switch controller (103) controls the linear voltage regulator (101) to be connected to the reference source circuit (102) during the first stage of the change of a power supply signal, and controls the linear voltage regulator (101) to be connected to the rough reference voltage generation circuit (105) during the second stage of the change of the power supply signal. By setting the connection relationship between the comparison circuit (104) and the switch controller, under the trigger of the comparison circuit (104), the switch controller (103) is controlled to switch the connection relationship between the linear voltage regulator (101) and the rough reference voltage generation circuit (105), as well as the reference source circuit (102), thereby ensuring that when the power supply signal at a voltage division resistor end of a power supply changes, the electrical connection relationship between the linear voltage regulator (101) and the reference source circuit (102)/the rough reference voltage generation circuit (105) can be quickly switched, and avoiding the impact of the change of the power supply signal on the linear voltage regulator (101) when quickly starting the linear voltage regulator (101).
