Abstract:
The present application discloses an overvoltage protection circuit and method, and a power supply system. The overvoltage protection circuit comprises: a voltage monitoring circuit configured to output a thyristor gating signal to a thyristor when detecting that overvoltage occurs at a voltage detection point, wherein the thyristor gating signal is used for controlling the thyristor to be switched on; a first resistor and a second resistor connected in series between a direct-current power supply end and a power supply end of a power source control chip, wherein the direct-current power supply end is used for supplying a holding current for the thyristor when the thyristor is switched on, so as to ensure that the thyristor is reliably switched on; the thyristor having a cathode grounded and an anode connected to a midpoint between the first resistor and the second resistor; and an energy storage module having a first end grounded and a second end connected to the midpoint between the first resistor and the second resistor, wherein the energy storage module is configured to discharge by means of the thyristor when the thyristor is reliably switched on, so as to cut off power supply output of the power source control chip.
