Abstract:
An oxide superconductor prepared by applying a mixed solution of TFA salts containing respective metal elements constituting a RE based oxygen superconductor in a predetermined mole ratio on an IBAD composite substrate, subjecting the resulting product to a calcinating treatment to form a precursor, and subjecting the precursor to a crystallization heat treatment, wherein a plurality of the precursor layers are formed, the calcinating treatment for at least the precursor layers except the outermost precursor is carried out at a temperature of 250 to 350&ring C, and the crystallization heat treatment is carried out under a condition wherein a gas introduced into a heat treatment atmosphere has a steam partial pressure of 0.5 to 3.2 vol % at least for a treatment before the achievement of crystallization of the outermost layer.
