Title:
OXIDE SUPERCONDUCTING COIL, OXIDE SUPERCONDUCTING COIL BODY, AND ROTARY DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/048859
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a saddle-shaped oxide superconducting coil, in which an oxide superconducting wire (11) is wound in a racetrack shape, wherein the oxide superconducting coil (10) comprises curved portions (10b) and straight portions (10a) that are connected to the curved portions (10b), and wherein an upper edge (10d) is located closer to the interior circumference than a lower edge (10e) upon at least the center areas of the straight portions (10a), allowing deterioration in electrical properties to be alleviated, said deterioration resulting from the effect of magnetic induction lines when the oxide superconducting coil (10), which is formed from the oxide superconducting wire, is employed in a motor or other rotary device. Also disclosed is a superconducting coil body that employs the superconducting coil, and a rotary device that further employs the superconducting coil, i.e., the superconducting coil body.
