Abstract:
Disclosed is an oxide superconducting conductor equipped with a substrate and an oxide superconducting layer comprising an oxide superconductor represented by the compositional formula RE1Ba2Cu3Oy (wherein, RE represents a rare earth element, and 6.5 < y < 7.1 is satisfied) that is formed upon the aforementioned substrate. A normal conducting phase comprising Ba and a heterogeneous phase comprising an alkaline earth metal with a smaller ionic radius than Ba are dispersed in the aforementioned oxide superconducting layer. The aforementioned normal conducting phase is an oxide comprising Ba and one selected from the group comprising Zr, Sn, Hf, Ce, and Ti.
