Abstract:
An oxide superconducting wire on which an insulating coat can be formed without sacrifice in superconducting characteristics, the wire comprising oxide superconducting filaments (1), a matrix material (2), a covering film (3) and an insulating coat (4), wherein the matrix material (2) made of silver is disposed to surround the filaments (1), the covering film (3) containing silver and manganese is disposed to surround the matrix material (2) and is at least 10 $g(m)m and up to 50 $g(m)m in film thickness, and the insulating coat (4) is disposed to surround the covering film (3).
