Abstract:
This oxide superconducting wire material comprises: a base material (1, 11, 21, 31, 41, 51); an intermediate layer (2, 12, 22, 32, 42, 52) layered on the main surface of the base material, having one or more oriented layers, and having one or a plurality of non-oriented regions (2b, 3b, 12b, 13b, 22b, 23b, 32b, 33b, 43b, 52b, 53b) extending along the length direction of the wire material; and an oxide superconducting layer (3, 13, 23, 33, 43, 53) layered on the intermediate layer, whereof the crystal orientation is controlled by the intermediate layer, and having a non-oriented region located above the non-oriented region of the intermediate layer. The oxide superconducting wire material is made into multiple filaments.
