Abstract:
Disclosed is an oxygen absorbent which contains a particle functioning as a photocatalyst and an organic compound chemically adsorbed on the surface of the particle. Such an oxygen absorbent can be produced by a manufacturing process including a step for having an organic compound chemically adsorbed on the surface of a particle which functions as a photocatalyst. This oxygen absorbent enables to obtain a resin composition having a high oxygen-absorbing power. Also disclosed are an oxygen-absorbing resin composition and packaging material using this oxygen absorbent.
