Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: an oxygen enriched burner capable of uniformly heating with excellent heat-transfer efficiency even at positions distanced from the burner, when using a self-oscillating flame to heat objects-to-be-heated; and a heating method using an oxygen enriched burner. Provided is an oxygen enriched burner comprising: a central fluid discharge port (2); and a pair of first peripheral fluid discharge ports (3A) and a pair of second peripheral fluid discharge ports (3B), each in the pair facing each other and each pair arranged in orthogonal directions, in the periphery of the central fluid discharge port (2). A pair of openings (42a, 42b) are provided in a side wall (41) of a fluid discharge flow path (4) on the upstream side of the central fluid discharge port (2). The gap between a pair of side walls (43a, 43b) further on the downstream side than said openings gradually increases towards the downstream side. The pair of second peripheral fluid discharge ports (3B) are arranged so as to be orthogonal to the direction facing the openings (42a, 42b) and sandwich the central fluid discharge port (2) therebetween. An angle γ° formed between the central axis of the central fluid discharge port (2) and the central axis of the second peripheral fluid discharge ports (3B), an outlet width (D1) between the side walls (41) of the central fluid discharge port (2), and an outlet width (D2) in the direction following the outlet width (D1) in the second peripheral fluid discharge ports (3B) fulfill a prescribed relationship.
