Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: an oxygen reduction catalyst that has high catalytic activity and also has excellent durability; an ink including said catalyst; a catalyst layer including said catalyst; an electrode including said catalyst layer; a membrane electrode assembly including said catalyst layer; and a fuel cell including said membrane electrode assembly. The present invention is an oxygen reduction catalyst that includes titanium dioxide particles, a carbon material, and a catalyst component, wherein: the surface of the titanium dioxide particle is covered with zinc oxide; and the titanium dioxide particles and the carbon material both carry the catalyst component.
