Abstract:
Provided is an oxygen reduction catalyst that is a cobalt compound which has high oxygen reduction ability by containing sulfur atoms in an amount within a specific range. In this oxygen reduction catalyst, the crystal structure of tricobalt tetraoxide (Co3O4) is observed in an X-ray diffraction measurement, and the contained amount of sulfur atoms is 1.0-15.0 mass%.
