Abstract:
A method for collecting data for diagnosing cancer, determining the onset risk, determining the malignancy and/or predicting the prognosis of cancer according to the present disclosure comprises the steps of: (a) causing an antigen-antibody reaction by bringing a sample derived from a subject into contact with a tumor-associated antigen; (b) measuring the amount of an anti-p53 antibody in the sample specifically binding to the tumor-associated antigen; and (c) comparing the measured amount of the anti-p53 antibody with a prescribed reference amount of the anti-p53 antibody in the tumor-associated antigen, wherein the tumor-associated antigen comprises at least one p53 isoform variant comprising an amino acid sequence having a mutation in any one among the amino acid sequences of SEQ ID NOs:1 to 3, and the mutation includes any one among an N-terminal deletion mutation, a C-terminal deletion mutation, and a deletion mutation in both the N-terminal and the C-terminal.
