Abstract:
Disclosed are: a package configured such that the problem of thickening of an oxyalkylene group-containing PVA-based resin during melt kneading is unlikely to occur even if the resin is stored for a long period of time in the form of a package; and a method for producing said package. This package is obtained by housing an oxyalkylene group-containing PVA-based resin in a bag having an oxygen permeability of 1000 cc/m2 day·atm or less, which is the amount of oxygen that permeates in 24 hours per 1 m2 of a film at a temperature of 25°C and a relative humidity of 65%. In this package, oxidation of the oxyalkylene group-containing PVA-based resin is suppressed and generation of carboxyl group-containing compounds, which are a primary cause of thickening during melt kneading, is suppressed.
