Abstract:

A packaging device (1) for a packaging material comprises: a carry-in conveyor (3) that conveys in a food container (50) in a conveyance direction; a carry-out conveyor that conveys out the food container in the conveyance direction; a conveyor shifting mechanism (9) that causes at least one of the carry-in conveyor and the carry-out conveyor to shift; a packaging material pressing mechanism (6) that presses and adheres a strip-shaped packaging material to the food container, said food container having been conveyed to between the carry-in conveyor and the carry-out conveyor; and a control device (40) that, by using the conveyor shifting mechanism to cause at least one of the carry-in conveyor and the carry-out conveyor to shift, forms, between the carry-in conveyor and the carry-out conveyor, an adhering space (S) where the strip-shaped packaging material (60) is adhered to the food container by the packaging material pressing mechanism.
