Abstract:
Provided is a packaging machine for producing, regardless of product sizing or properties such as elasticity, packages in which a product in a compressed state is stored. The packaging machine is provided with: a pressing device (16) for compressing a product (4) held between an upper film (10) and a lower film (11) at a fixed position; and a side-sealing device (25) for clamping and sealing the side edges (10a, 11a) of the films that are exposed to the outside while the product is being compressed by the pressing device (16). The side-sealing device (25) is provided with nip rollers (28), a bar sealer (26) and press rollers (29) in order along the direction of movement on movement supports (30). The movement supports (30) move along guide rails (31) and as a result, the bar sealer (26), etc. move along the side edges of the film while sealing same.
