Abstract:
Provided is a rotary motion type packaging machine capable of forming neat folds in the lateral surfaces of gusset bags. In this rotary motion type packaging machine for forming gusset bags, folding plates (8) are provided which form folds by simultaneous insertion into the lateral surface of a gusset bag (B1) downstream of and a gusset bag (B2) upstream of a pair of sealing jaws (5, 5). Further, a cut-out portion (G) is provided on both sides of a sealing portion (S), where the pair of sealing jaws (5, 5) engage each other. The cut-out portion (G) allows insertion of the folding plates (8), and prevents position shifts of said folding plates (8).
