[Problem] To reliably reduce wrinkling of a top seal and a bottom seal with regard to a packaging device for forming a top seal and a bottom seal after providing a center seal by inflecting a film sheet in a U-shape with a to-be-packaged article being placed on the inner side of the film sheet and then sealing upper edges of the U-shape part and further sealing the film sheet in front of and behind the to-be-packaged article. [Solution] Provided is a packaging device that forms a top seal and a bottom seal by providing a center seal through sealing of upper edges of a U-shaped film sheet 3 and then sealing the film sheet 3 in front of and behind a to-be-packaged article 1, the packaging device being provided with: a wrinkle removal device 18 which, prior to the formation of the top seal and the bottom seal, stretches portions of the film sheet 3 that are to constitute the top seal and the bottom seal; and a wrinkle removal guide which, prior to activation of the wrinkle removal device 18, fastens the film sheet 3 from the right and left sides so as to narrow the right-left width of the film sheet that is inflected between a preceding to-be-packaged article 1 and a subsequent to-be-packaged article 1.
