Abstract:
When a plurality of packets are transmitted from a first node (111) to a second
node (112) via a network in the order of sequence numbers and some of the packets
are lost, a packet recovery method can be used to recover them. Upon detection
of loss of a packet transmitted from the first node (111), the second node (112)transmits
an acknowledgment message including the sequence number of the packet whose
reception is confirmed or whose loss is detected and information on the lost packet
via the network to the first node (111). Upon reception of the acknowledgement
message from the second node (112), the first node (111) assigns a sequence number
different from the plurality of packets to a retransmission packet as a packet
to be retransmitted and then attaches an acknowledgement report message to the
retransmission packet so as to report that the acknowledgment response message
has been received and transmits it to the second node (112) via the network.
