Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a packet scheduling method and a network device. According to an example of the method, after an enqueue request message is received, related information of a packet needing to be enqueued that is carried in the enqueue request message may be stored in a corresponding queue, the packet needing to be enqueued is buffered, and the quantity of packets corresponding to the queue is updated to the sum of a current value of the quantity of the packets and the quantity of packets needing to be enqueued. A first queue needing to be scheduled may be selected from a group of queues whose corresponding quantity of packets is not 0, and the quantity of packets corresponding to the first queue is decreased by 1. If a packet needing to be dequeued is successfully dequeued from the first queue, related information of the packet needing to be dequeued may be deleted from the first queue.
