Title:
PACKET SENDING METHOD AND NETWORK NODE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/026406
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of communications, and particularly to a packet sending method and a network node, so that a virtual network endpoint can forward a received packet independently from a destination MAC address comprised in the packet when a service chain is deployed in a virtual network, and encapsulation of the packet can be simplified. In an embodiment of the present invention, a first packet received by a first node comprises a second packet and a service chain head encapsulated in the second packet, and the service chain head comprises information of a service chain; the first node obtains location information of a third node according to the information of the service chain and a network identifier of a virtual network that the first packet comes from; and the first node sends a third packet obtained after processing the first packet to the third node according to the location information of the third node. A packet sent by a second node to the first node does not need to be encapsulated, so that the first node can forward the received packet independently from a destination MAC address in the received packet, and encapsulation of the received packet can be simplified.
