Abstract:
The present invention relates to a packing material for ion chromatography which has a structure comprising: an organic porous base constituted of a hydroxylated crosslinked copolymer; a polyethyleneimine bonded to the surface thereof directly or through a spacer; and functional groups represented by formula (1) (wherein the symbols are as described in the description) bonded to nitrogen atoms derived from the polyethyleneimine. The invention further relates to a method for producing the packing material for ion chromatography and a column for ion chromatography. The present invention can provide a packing material for columns which exhibits high separating performance in anion chromatography employing a hydroxide-containing eluent and a production method for the packing material.
