Abstract:
Provided is a packing unit for easily packing an article in an outer box to be sent via a home delivery service, wherein the article is protected from impacts. The packing unit comprises a protective mat (10) and an outer box (11). The protective mat (10) is a holder for enclosing an article (M) to be contained and for holding said article (M) in a predetermined position. The outer box (11) is a delivery box which comprises a pair of plates consisting of a lower plate (14) and an upper plate (16) supported by spring action. The lower plate (14) and the upper plate (16) support lower and upper surfaces of the protective mat (10) enclosing the article (M) in a state in which spring force is acting on the lower plate (14) and the upper plate (16), so that the article (M) is held at a fixed position inside the outer box (11).
