Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a pad which is disposed in a shoulder strap, a neck strap, or a bag handle and which has excellent load distributing property. [Solution] A pad 4 that forms a shoulder strap comprises a pad body 6 composed of an elastic foam and a side material 7 covering the pad body 6. The pad body 6 has a plurality of bump-like protrusions 8 and depressions 9 formed alternately on the side that pressingly contacts a user's shoulder. When this shoulder strap is worn over the shoulder, the pad 4 curvingly deforms along the user's shoulder and the tips of the plurality of protrusions 8 come into point contact with the user's shoulder part with the side material 7 therebetween, so that the plurality of protrusions 8 distribute the load on the shoulder in a well-balanced manner. Thus, the load on the shoulder is reduced.
