Abstract:
A paddle wheel propelled hovercraft, comprising a hull (1), a power system, a hover system, and a propelling system. Said hover system comprises a hover fan (10) and an apron (3). Said propelling system comprises a pair of paddle wheel propellers (2) which are symmetrically provided at both horizontal sides of a longitudinal middle part of the bottom of the hull (1) and are located at the inner side the apron (3). The travel direction of said paddle wheel propellers (2) is the same as that of the hull. The lower edge of said paddle wheel propellers (2) is lower than the lower edge of the apron (3). Said paddle wheel propellers (2) are provided at the bottom of the hull (1) by means of an elevating support and the height thereof may be adjusted. Compared to traditional full-hover hovercrafts, said paddle wheel propelled hovercraft has higher propelling efficiency, is less noisy, and provides better operability and stability.
